Fremantle – Museums, galleries and some of the oldest buildings in WA. The old prison was built by convicts and used until the mid-1990s. It is now a major tourist attraction and the night tour is highly recommended

Rottnest Island - Rottnest is 11km long and less than 5km wide. A 40 minute ferry journey from Perth, it is a wildlife sanctuary famous for its Quokkas (a small marsupial that is prevalent on the island) and sea life. Rottnest offers a host of attractions including dive trips, bike rides and snorkelling.

River Cruises – Wine cruises and river tours leave from Barrack Street Jetty on a regular basis

Sporting events – Test matches at the WACA Cricket Ground, Rugby Union Internationals, AFL (Aussie Rules Football) – local teams are the Fremantle Dockers and the West Coast Eagles.
